Privacy Policy
Last updated May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data MarkDB collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Service.
1. Data we collect
Account data
When you sign in (via GitHub or Google) we receive basic profile information such as your name, email, and provider account id. We use this to create and secure your account.
Agent content
The core function of the Service is to capture the prompts, messages, tool calls, and responses you route through it, and to derive summaries and a search index from them. This content is stored as your memory so you can retrieve it.
Operational data
We process metadata needed to run the Service -- request timestamps, model names, token usage, API key identifiers, and similar logs -- to operate, secure, debug, and bill the Service.
2. How we use data
- to provide the Service: capture, summarize, index, and serve your memory;
- to route your requests to the model provider you select;
- to secure the Service and prevent abuse;
- to operate, maintain, debug, and improve the Service;
- to communicate with you about your account and service changes.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Your Content to train our own models.
3. Subprocessors and model providers
To provide the Service we share data with infrastructure and model providers that process it on our behalf, including:
- cloud infrastructure and hosting providers;
- model providers you route to -- for example Google (Gemini), Anthropic, and OpenAI -- which receive the requests you send through the proxy and process them under their own terms.
The specific model provider that receives a given request is determined by the model you choose for that request.
4. Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Agent content and derived artifacts are retained so your memory remains available to you; you can delete sessions and other data from the dashboard or by request. We may retain limited operational logs for security and accounting for a reasonable period.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, scoped API keys, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
You can access and delete much of your data directly in the dashboard. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Contact
